If there’s one thing Netflix knows, it’s turning its most successful shows into established franchises. Since the success of the first season of Physical:100, the platform has churned out a second season and multiple spin-offs, including the recently released Physical: Asia. Now the streaming giant is set to deliver another offshoot of the same with Physical: Welcome to Mongolia, a travelogue with Physical: Asia‘s Mongolian team and their friends from the Korean team. Besides getting a glimpse of the contestants’ bonding and the beauty of Mongolia, here’s everything to know about Physical: Welcome to Mongolia, including its cast.

Over the course of Physical: Asia, Team Mongolia and its contestants won the hearts of viewers with their performance as well as attitude. With the new spin-off, fans will get a chance to meet the runner-up team in their home country, playing hosts to the winning team, South Korea’s members.

The success of Physical: Asia has made Mongolian athletes like Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan earn a global fan base, and through this travel show, viewers will see a different side of the wrestler.

Netflix has confirmed that the four-part series will land on the platform later this month, giving fans of Physica: Asia a brand new show to obsess over following November’s exciting finale. Get to know which cast members of Physical: Asia will appear on Physical: Welcome to Mongolia and more.

Physical: Welcome to Mongolia: Cast and release details

Team Mongolia and Team Korea’s friendship on Physical: Asia

Before we dig into the upcoming collaboration between members of the South Korean and Mongolian teams, it’s worth knowing how the two national teams bonded during the entire run of Physical: Asia.

To face each other in the finale, as both teams beat some of their other strongest opponents, the competition fostered a deep sense of respect among fellow contestants. The discipline and teamwork shown by Team Mongolia captured the hearts of viewers as well, and despite their loss in the final challenge, they won global admiration.

Off-screen moments between the two teams were also met with immense love. A collaboration video on Amotti’s YouTube channel with Team Mongolia’s leader, Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan and Team Australia’s Eddie Williams, where he gave them a Seoul tour, earned over 2 million views, leading to fans urging for more friendly content.

The strong friendship between Bayarsaikhan and Amotti is also reflected in the sweet gesture shown by the Mongolian athlete, who gifted Amotti a bottle of Mongolian vodka and silver shot glasses.

Not to mention the unexpected couple ship that kicked off between Korean wrestler Jang Eun-sil and Mongolian MMA fighter Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhu, which began with a cheeky selfie and later turned into a viral reel of the two recreating Hwasa’s “Good Goodbye” trend.

Amazingly, the idea of a collaboration between the two teams can also be traced back to the iconic exchange shared by the two team captains, where Mongolian team captain Bayarsaikhan, said, “Come visit Mongolia if you win,” and Korean team captain Kim Dong-hyun responded, “I’ll definitely go if I get the chance”, as reported by The Chosun Daily.

What is Physical: Welcome to Mongolia about?

As the appeal of Physical: Asia transcended the South Korean borders with the inclusion of international athletes, it also became a major phenomenon in Mongolia. Amid its growing craze in the country, director Jang Ho-gi reportedly met with Mongolia’s Prime Minister to discuss producing a spin-off, and now here we are.

Taking their Physical: Asia bromance a step further, Physical: Welcome to Mongolia is set to chronicle a tour of the country organised personally by Bayarsaikhan. The show will showcase some of Mongolia’s most popular places that locals visit for leisure, as well as famous eateries frequented by the Mongolian athletes.

Fans can also expect interesting activities in the series, including, reportedly, an archery competition held on the snowy plains, a glimpse of Orkhonbayar’s exclusive training methods, and a homemade Mongolian family meal prepared by Ochir.

Cast of Physical: Welcome to Mongolia

A poster of the upcoming spin-off has been released, and it features the cast wearing traditional Mongolian clothing. From Team Korea, we see Team Korea captain, Kim Dong-hyun and the winner of Physical: 100 season 2, Amotti, alongside Mongolia’s captain, Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan, and standout acrobat Lkhagva-Ochir. However, the surprising addition to this travelogue team is Team Australia’s Eddie Williams.

While not seen on the poster, other cast members of Team Mongolia, including judo athlete Adiyasuren Amarsaikhan, basketball player Dulguun Enkhbat, and volleyball player Khandsuren Gantogtokh, are also expected to appear in the series.

It’s unclear whether Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu will have a brief cameo, considering he was in Thailand for the ONE Banterweight MMA World Championship during the filming of the series.

Separately, Australian athlete Dominic Di Tommaso, along with South Korean athlete Jang Eun-sil, were also spotted in Mongolia, sparking rumours about their surprise appearance in the upcoming spin-off.

Release date and episode schedule

The four-part spin-off will arrive on Netflix in two instalments. Episodes 1–2 are scheduled to be released on December 24, whereas episodes 3–4 will be available on December 31 in Korea. However, the global streaming release for Physical: Welcome to Mongolia is scheduled for January 1, 2026.
