- Delivery firm Evri is facing parcel delays across retail shops and Post Office locations following a major overhaul of its collection network.
- The backlog, which has left some parcels stuck in stores for several days, is linked to a shift from large centralised depots to smaller regional sites.
- Evri stated that the disruption is confined to a small number of localised areas, maintaining that overall network performance remains over 95 per cent on time.
- To clear the backlog, the courier is adding more than 100 collection routes and introducing around 330 sweeper vans to increase capacity.
- Evri currently delivers more than one billion parcels a year across the UK using a network of over 11,000 ParcelShops, lockers, and thousands of Post Offices.
