PENAMPANG: Parti Warisan (Warisan) suffered one its biggest defeats in Sabah when co-founder and Deputy President Datuk Darell Leiking was defeated by Pakatan Harapan (PH)’s Datuk Ewon Benedick for the Penampang seat.
Ewon, 39, won after obtaining 29,066 votes with a majority of 14,410, while Darell received 14,656 votes or about half.
The other contenders for the seat were Kenny Chua from Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) who obtained 6,719 votes and Independent Richard Jimmy (289).
