PENAMPANG: All approved Federal development projects under Sabah’s 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) 2026–2030 will be awarded via tender to ensure effective implementation, said Entrepreneurship and Cooperatives Development Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.

Ewon, who will lead monthly monitoring meetings starting January 2025 to address about 400 delayed projects in Sabah, emphasised the need to select financially stable contractors.

AdvertisementHe aims to prevent issues caused by direct awards, which have led to delays due to contractors’ financial constraints.

The committee, co-chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, will work with technical departments and contractors to resolve setbacks and expedite solutions for stalled projects.
