Former Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis has been invited by Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag to training.

The Red Devils have been bringing in various players to ensure they have a good number for training games.

Ten Hag did similar with Jonny Evans in the summer when he was a free agent, ultimately signing him to a season-long deal.

Per the Manchester Evening News, Lewis linked up with United to maintain his fitness in December.

The 36-year-old has been involved with first team training at times in subsequent weeks.

He is useful for the club when they do not have enough goalkeepers for first team drills, while he trains with the academy players on other occasions.
