Former Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas will undergo a medical and sign a contract with Como in Italy.
The second division side will secure Fabregas on a deal until June 2024.
The 35-year-old was a free agent, leaving AS Monaco on the expiry of his contract this summer.
Fabregas played 110 times for Spain in a glittering career that saw him win numerous domestic and European honors in England and Spain.
The central midfielder may not be the physical threat of the past, but his razor sharp passing will likely help Como climb up the table in Serie B.
