Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell says goalscoring is the team's biggest issue.
Campbell admits seeing the Gunners beaten by Liverpool in the FA Cup was difficult.
He told BBC Sport: "It is frustrating and painful watching Arsenal at the moment, especially when you see some of the approach play and some of the chances that they create, But their Achilles heel at the moment is putting the ball away, and that's what is going to be questioned most about Mikel Arteta's side.
"Some of the players are players are up to speed, but some are not. They are still creating a lot of chances but anyone watching that game yesterday knew what was going to happen. You miss those chances and Liverpool's firepower you knew would come into the game at some point and they would score.
"When you look for positives, there's a lot of them to take. But the biggest negative is they can't put the ball in the net and that's the most important thing."
Campbell added: "Arsenal have to start doing the basics better. They are as good as most team football wise, but they can't put the ball away. That's the one spot they haven't been great at."
