His girlfriend wasn’t “the right fit for their family”

MS News reported that the 63-year-old’s son brought his girlfriend home to introduce her to the family.

When his son introduced his girlfriend, the dad told him she wasn’t “the right fit for their family.”

This left the son heartbroken, and out of respect for his dad and family, he eventually broke up with her.

6 months later, things took a twist when he found out his dad was marrying the same girl he’d been told wasn’t right for the family, which sent him into a deep depression.

His dad had been married 4 times

According to the South China Morning Post, public records show the former banker had been married 4 times, with each wife being younger than the last.

Since then, it’s come out that there was more to the former banker’s love life, as he reportedly got his start in his career thanks to his first wife, who was the daughter of a high-ranking official.

But after he got his recognition, he divorced her and married his younger mistress instead.

He was given a suspended death for accepting bribes at work

The former banker’s downfall began when he was given a suspended death sentence on November 26 for corrupt financial activities, according to Reuters.

He was convicted of accepting bribes amounting to over 121 million yuan and illegally approving loans totalling more than 3.32 billion yuan.

However, he was granted a two-year reprieve from execution due to his confession and the recovery of most of the stolen funds.
