Former Barcelona and Spain coach Robert Moreno is in talks with FC Sochi.
Championat reports Sochi have offered Moreno a contract to the end of the current season with the option to extend it if the team stays up in the Russian Premier League.
The negotiations with the Catalan coach, who also coached Monaco and Granada, are now advanced.
Sochi has had three coaches since the beginning of the season due to poor results.
They currently sit 18th on the RPL table.
