Former Birmingham City manager Pep Clotet has recalled Jude Bellingham turning down a meeting with Manchester United.
Clotet gave Bellingham his debut at Brum before his sale to Borussia Dortmund.
He recalled to Four Four Two: "One day, the managing director said: 'Jude won't be here today because we allowed him to go to a meeting with Manchester United'.
"But Jude ended up turning them down so as not to miss training.
"It was very clear to me that his priority would be a club that offered him a way to continue his development."
