Former Brighton and Aston Villa midfielder Warren Aspinall says the Seagulls will defeat Chelsea today.
Aspinall feels the Seagulls can spoil Potter's homecoming, if they are brave enough.
"I think there will be goals. Hopefully Brighton score more than Chelsea. I think we'll beat Chelsea if I'm really honest," Aspinall told the Albion Unlimited podcast.
"It's going to be an intriguing game I think. Two managers, one has left the club with a good reputation, is coming back unbeaten, and one trying to get his first win. It's not going to be a draw, that's for sure.
"This Chelsea side, you need to get at them. You need to be brave on the ball, high-tempo football, get after this side, and hopefully Kepa won't have a very good game like he normally does and we can get the win.
"It's going to be a great game. I'm looking forward to it. Just have to be positive, be brave, be positive. We're just as good as these players."
Aspinall hopes in-form Leandro Trossard can maintain his level of performance, having netted once again in last weekend's 3-1 defeat at Manchester City.
"He's one of our influential players, one on one situations with him there's only going to be one winner and Graham will know that, the strengths and weaknesses of Brighton," he added.
"They've got some valuable players missing, especially now, [N'Golo] Kante, [Reece] James.
"I think James is probably one of the best right-backs or wing-backs and can play as a right centre-half in a three.
"Take them out of a side, you weaken it."
