Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has stated that he is thinking about putting in a bid to buy Championship club Coventry City.

The ex-Palace chief has revealed that discussions are underway about purchasing the Sky Blues.

According to The Times, SISU (the club's current hedge fund owners) want to entertain bids to find a buyer that can lift the financial issues around the club.

"It's something I have looked at previously with Gary Hoffman years ago before he became the Premier League chairman, " Jordan told talkSPORT.

"It's something I'm potentially looking at, at this moment in time because it's in play, so yes.

"The football club's for sale. Whether it's for me to buy with other people is a different discussion, but it's for sale and it's a football club I'm being encouraged to look at so it's not something I'm not aware of."
