Former Inter Milan goalkeeper Tommaso Berni has hailed Lautaro Martinez as an emerging leader.
Berni shared a dressing room with the Argentina striker.
He told TMW: "He's a great player, I've never shared the criticisms made of him even when he scored less. He was someone who always gave his soul on the pitch and in training, he fought for every ball and he has always been decisive even when he scored less.
"He is becoming more and more of a leader, but he always has been. In a team that wins there are many, even those who only play with attitude, mentality and attachment the shirt manages to set an example.
"There have been many over the years: from Ranocchia to Barella, from Brozovic to Handanovic and D'Ambrosio. They are all champions who care about Inter, the shirt and who give a big contribution Lautaro is an important point of reference for the club, the coach and his team-mates.
"I think he's a driving force, he'll want to stay at Inter for many years."
