Former Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt is delighted to have joined Bayern Munich.
De Ligt signed for Bayern this week for a fee rising to €90m.
He said, "At the beginning of the summer I had discussed my future with (Louis) van Gaal and he had nothing but nice words for the Bayern.
"He praised its philosophy and told me that if I went there, I would fall in love with it."
Holland coach Van Gaal is a former Bayern trainer and now more than ten years later, Julian Nagelsmann is in charge.
De Ligt added: "He has shown that young people can grow with him. I still see myself as such and I want to improve."
