Former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch is in contention to replace the sacked Nathan Jones at Southampton.
The Saints have parted company with Jones, who was hired shortly before the World Cup break this season, after a string of poor results.
Losing 2-1 to Wolves despite having an extra man near the end of the game was the final straw.
Per The Athletic, Marsch is among the candidates the Saints are running the rule over.
The American has still not left England after losing his job at Leeds at the start of the week.
He is seen as having a similar playstyle to the Saints boss who Jones replaced, Ralph Hasenhuttl.
