Former Leicester City captain Kasper Schmeichel has revealed he's fielded interest from Bayern Munich.
Schmeichel is currently with Anderlecht in Belgium, but a move to Bayern almost happened last year.
He recalled to Bold: "It is true that I was close to Bayern Munich. Very close, even. As close as you can get.
"Everything was in place and I sat and waited for the green light to travel to Germany. Then suddenly there were complications with the transfer, and then it didn't work anyway.
"As I understood it, it was a minus that I did not speak German. It's a shame, but that's how football is."
