Former Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle, and Valencia manager Rafael Benitez has claimed he doesn't like late substitutions.
The Spaniard was asked about the Liverpool and Tottenham game at the weekend, which saw the Reds win 4-3.
Spurs had trailed 3-0 in the game, equalized to 3-3 in injury time, only for a howler of a Lucas Moura back pass to gift Liverpool the win through Diogo Jota.
Benitez told Premier League Productions: "I don't like to put a player on with moments to go.
They rarely change anything, they don't touch the ball, and they're often the ones to make mistakes. So for me, it's something I try to avoid as I feel it's not good for the player."
He added on Jota's goal: "It's everything because you're playing at Anfield. The atmosphere is great.
You concede a goal that you can't believe, and then you score another, the feeling is great. Diogo Jota is very clever when playing between the lines, and his finish was really good."
