Former Liverpool defender Phil Babb does not expect Leeds United to remain in the Premier League.
The Whites are hoping to avoid relegation by hiring ex-Watford coach Javi Gracia.
The Spaniard has a contract that will take him to the end of the season.
"Unfortunately, looking at their fixtures, they've still got Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Man City to play just to name a few. I think it might be a season too many for them," Babb told Sky Sports News.
Babb added: "A good man, with the pedigree that can potentially galvanize them and potentially get them out of trouble. I thought he was harshly treated at Watford. He did fantastically well there and was just a victim of their rotating door policy with managers.
"But all the soundbites I've heard, him as a man manager, his ideals, the way he wants to play football is all good. It probably adds a bit of calmness and stability to post-Bielsa and post-Jesse Marsch. I think he's a very good appointment."
