Neil Ruddock believes the idea of replaying a football game due to a refereeing error is not feasible.
The ex-Southampton and Liverpool star feels for the current crop and their boss Jurgen Klopp.
However, he does not believe that VAR's failure to award an onside Luis Diaz goal against Tottenham in a 2-1 loss merits a replay.
He stated, per the Liverpool Echo: Absolutely no chance. People would be going back for years then. Look at the 1966 World Cup final, the Germans would want that replayed!
I think it might have been a little bit tongue-in-cheek from Klopp. But they can't. I mean Liverpool ended the game with nine men.
I don't think you can replay it because people will be bringing up game after game after game. No more games.
I like Jurgen. I think he just puts things out there to wind people up. And we're all talking about it now, aren't we?"
