Former Newcastle and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll has failed a medical at Club Brugge.
The Geordie, now 33, was in Brugge on Thursday to undergo a medical ahead of signing for the Belgians.
However, HLN says Carroll has failed his physical tests.
Available from West Brom, there remains a chance Carroll will be offered a chance to trial with Club Brugge in preseason.
But a source admitted the "chance was only small".
