Former Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi has been doing his homework on Brighton.
The 43-year-old has impressed with Saussolo in Serie A, taking the minnows to eighth place on two occasions in recent years.
He also did an impressive job at Shakhtar Donestk, and is now hoping for another exciting coaching opportunity.
Michele Criscitiello, chief executive of SportItalia and a long-time friend of De Zerbi, states that Brighton and the coach have been in contact.
Criscitello told The Argus: "He is watching all of Brighton's matches.
"If the club confirmed concrete interest, he would accept to come."
