Kota Kinabalu: Former Senator Datuk John Ambrose supports and praises Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor for the government’s initiative to organise state-level celebrations for Christmas and Chinese New Year.
He believes this initiative, a first for the state, will foster unity and celebrate diversity among Sabah’s diverse communities.
Advertisement“The purpose of these celebrations being organised by the State Government is to foster mutual respect and unity among the people of Sabah by celebrating major festivities in the state,” John said.
“Celebrating diversity is something very positive, as it has been practised by our ancestors for generations through their respective celebrations.”
