
Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Ex-State Footballers Association (the Ex-State) continue to make strides in their development programme with the successful conclusion of a football clinic for 120 boys and girls from six schools in Tenom on Sept 19.
The two-day clinic took place at the Tenom Town Field was conducted by coaches Julius Ating and Burhan Ajui for the boys, while Fulinda Jamal led the girls through their sessions.
The Ex-State President Datuk James Wong said the programme was meticulously planned one month in advance and received vital support from the Tenom District Education Department.
He expressed his gratitude to Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Datuk Jamawi Jaafar, whose contributions made the coaching clinic possible, highlighting the community’s dedication to nurturing young sporting talent.
Meanwhile, the weekend event also featured a friendly match where the Tenom Saga women’s team defeated the ex-state women’s team 3-1.
