Excellence awards for top SPM students of Sakag Gimbawan

KENINGAU: Nine students who excelled in the 2024 Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) received a Certificate of Appreciation for Excellence during the Sakag Gimbawan Family Day held at the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Luagan hall recently.

The awards were presented to the students from Tuaran, Keningau, Sook, Ranau and Kota Kinabalu by the Patron of Sakag Gimbawan, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});The recipients were Najla Batrisya bt Sabirin, Jafnizam bin Jaunis, Anis Suraya bt Halimudin, Danish Affiq bin Hamzah, Dania Irdina bt Mohd, Zetti Batrisyia bt Hadi Adam, Nur Hazimah Abyiqin bt Hajimis, Mohd Amirzan bin Jamdin and Nor Azlinda bt Mohd Rizduan.

In his speech, Masidi, who is also State Finance Minister, urged the children of Sakag Gimbawan to seize the opportunities provided by the State Government such as educational financial aid and scholarships.

He said such assistance could be accessed through the relevant ministry and department websites.

The Karanaan Assemblyman also called on every individual in the extended Sakag Gimbawan family to strive for excellence in whatever field they pursue.

“This is also an opportunity that the Sakag Gimbawan family should take advantage of to improve their respective family’s standard of living,” he said.

Approximately 500 families from various districts in the Interior and Ranau, including some from Peninsular Malaysia, attended the event.
