LABUAN: The Labuan Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry urged the Government to adopt fast-track approach to resolve the unstable electricity supply woes that had been plaguing the island for months.
Its Chairman, Datuk Dahlif Singh, said last month the island was severely hit by a 20-hour blackout and this week by another two hours on Monday, affecting various locations.
“This incident disrupted business operations, tossing it into disarray, and in a number of cases affected electrical appliances.”
He noted that the local economy was already known to be gloomy and SESB, by its regular outages, was adding to the gloom.
