Experts issue baby sling warning amid safety concerns

  • A survey of 1,470 parents with infants under the age of one revealed that nearly nine out of ten parents purchase slings or carriers online, while only three out of ten purchasers who who bought their sling in person from a shop received direct advice.

  • Unsafe use of baby slings has been linked to accidental deaths from suffocation or falls.
