Kota Kinabalu: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) President Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor wants the party’s machinery to play a big role in explaining the struggle and development that the State Government has brought about in these three years.
The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Chairman said they, including facilitators, would be at the frontline in the next State Election (PRN).
“In less than two years, we will ask for a new mandate from the people. Therefore, what is important is we explain the struggle and development that the GRS-led Government has brought to the people at the grassroots level.
“As a team, we have to work together. For that reason, I ask all the party machinery and facilitators to explain to the people how the Government today has implemented various developments to fulfil the mandate of the people,” he said.

“Through the Hala Tuju SMJ agenda, we have introduced an investor-friendly policy to bring more investors to come and invest in the State to create job opportunities for our young people.
“The State Government has held international conferences, inviting foreign and local investors to come and see the opportunities available in Sabah. All these efforts are meant to stimulate the economy, provide job opportunities and reduce poverty in the State.
“This is the way we fight and I want leaders and facilitators to bring all the efforts that have been, presently and will be made when they go to the ground to meet the people at the grassroots level.”
Hajiji said the facilitators also need to emphasise the importance of unity among the people in the State.
“If you meet the people in your respective areas, explain how important it is to strengthen unity regardless of race and religion,” he said.
