RANAU: Children need to be educated and exposed to Martial Arts programmes such as Taekwondo to become more disciplined, obey rules, have leadership and avoid being influenced by social activities that damage their future lives.
Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Abidin Madingkir said: “This includes managing and organising training schedules in addition to training their patience and perseverance to be able to face situations encountered in daily life.
“The art of self-defense is also one of the good ways to socialize. Through this kind of activity, children have the opportunity to build each other up, while learning to communicate and interact in a team.
“Ironically, in addition to easily making new friends who are members from all over Malaysia who follow self-defense art training together, we can also share knowledge and experience related to self-defense art.”
