KUALA LUMPUR: Generator rental services provider, Express Powerr Solutions (M) Bhd recorded its highest quarterly net profit since its listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in September 2025.
For Q2 ended June 30, 2026 (FY26), Express Powerr recorded revenue of RM20.7 million, representing a 59.2% year-on-year (YoY) increase from RM13.0 million in Q2 FY25.
Gross profit (GP) increased 35.8% YoY to RM10.5 million from RM7.7 million, while net profit rose 29.0% YoY to RM4.0 million, compared with RM3.1 million in the same quarter last year.
The stronger performance was mainly attributable to the group’s geographical expansion into Indonesia, which contributed to higher sales volume and improved profitability.
For the six months (6M) of FY26, Express Powerr recorded revenue of RM33.5 million, up 29.8% YoY from RM25.8 million.
Gross profit increased 13.4% YoY to RM17.8 million from RM15.7 million, while net profit stood higher at RM6.4 million, compared with RM6.0 million in the same period last year.
Managing Director Lim Cheng Ten said this quarter’s performance is encouraging, and it reflects the progress the group is making in executing its growth strategy.
“Our established business in the vibrant energy market continues to deliver a stable base of recurring revenue, and we are further driven by planned maintenance projects which will further unlock new opportunities to enhance utilisation across our generator fleet.
“Together, these factors strengthen both the stability of our operations and the potential for sustained growth,” he said.
He said, more importantly, the group’s efforts to broaden its geographical footprint and customer base are beginning to translate into tangible progress.
“In Indonesia, we secured our first international power generation project for the supply and rental of generator units with a total capacity of 20MW for a power plant in Lombok.
“This marks an important milestone in our regional expansion strategy and provides a platform for us to progressively establish our presence beyond Malaysia.
“We see further opportunities in Indonesia and expect this market to contribute more meaningfully to the Group over time,” he said.
Lim said that with its generator fleet now at 181 units, up 57% from a year ago, the group is positioned to undertake larger and more complex projects.
“Our priority is to capture opportunities with the added units across both existing and new markets.
“Looking ahead, we will focus on scaling our generator power plant in Indonesia and strengthening our core generator rental business.
“Beyond generator rental, we will also continue to develop our solar photovoltaic capabilities and broaden our customer base to enhance our overall revenue mix,” Lee said.
