Former Real Madrid sports director Pedja Mijatovic says Luka Modric must stay.
The midfielder has been mentioned as a makeweight in a swap bid for PSG star Neymar.
But Mijatovic told El Larguero: "He is very happy at Real Madrid and as a friend of his I can say that he is going to stay.
"Luka cannot be put into any operation, he is the Ballon d'Or."
On Real's interest in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, he added: "The operation is very difficult. If no midfielder arrives, Madrid may have problems in that position..."
