LAWAS: Ezra Sarah Esem, representing Long Semadoh, was crowned Ruran Ulung 2025, while Jeffry Jumenik (Kota Kinabalu) took home the Padan Liu Burung title at the 38th Irau Aco Lun Bawang Festival at the Lawas Indoor Stadium here on Tuesday.
Jeffry’s win added to his growing list of achievements, having secured first runner-up in the Buvazoi Tavantang Kaamatan (BTK) 2024.
The first runner-up for Ruran Ulung went to Ckermynne Saran El Bill of Jalan Sundar, followed by Jovita Claire Joseph (Kota Kinabalu), who previously placed in the Top 15 at the State Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan 2024, representing Tanjung Aru.

In the Padan Liu Burung category, second place went to Kalimantan's Juniary Kurniawan, while Justin Ashley Achang Kading (Kuala Lumpur) secured third place.
Held on the final day of the June 1-3 celebration, the Ruran Ulung and Padan Liu Burung pageants remain the highlight of Irau Aco Lun Bawang, drawing large crowds and serving as a vibrant showcase of Lun Bawang culture, beauty, and heritage.
