Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has laid into the team, by suggesting that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo would struggle in it.
United are enduring a miserable start to the season that sees them only two points above the relegation zone in the league.
They face Liverpool at home in their first game after the current international break.
Speaking to Betfair about United, Berbatov explained: "The winter transfer window is going to be difficult and on the pitch Manchester United aren't producing as a team at the moment.
"It doesn't matter how good you are, Messi or Ronaldo could go there and they would have difficulty because the team is not producing."
