Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has apologised to Patrice Evra for wearing a t-shirt in support of Luis Suarez after their race row.
Ex-Liverpool striker Suarez was found guilty by the Football Association of racially abusing Manchester United left-back Evra in December 2011.
Suarez was handed an eight-match ban and fined 40,000 before his Liverpool team-mates including Carragher backed the Uruguayan by wearing the 'Suarez 7' T-shirts in a warm-up at Wigan.
Carragher and Evra were both pundits on Sky's Monday Night Football and the former Liverpool centre-back admitted: Apologies. There is no doubt we made a massive mistake. That was obvious. As a club we got it massively wrong.
I didn't have enough courage to say I'm not wearing it."
