A factory that sparked controversy by distributing socks bearing the word "Allah" has halted its operations following a raid by authorities. Located in the Sri Gading industrial area, the factory's closure came after management expressed concerns about the leakage of personal employee data and threats to set the premises on fire.
The decision to suspend operations was made public through a notice posted at the factory's main entrance, though no date for resuming operations was specified. This move is believed to be an attempt to ease tensions and ensure the safety of workers in response to mounting pressure and demands for a public apology.

A visit to the factory revealed a quiet scene, with no signs of activity. A cloth with an apology to the Malaysian people for the incident involving the socks was seen hanging on the main gate.
"We sincerely apologize for the incident that has caused unrest among the community," reads the writing on the cloth.
In their apology, the management also committed to upholding the sensitivity of the multi-religious community, maintaining harmony, and improving quality control efforts.
Yesterday, police from the Johor police headquarters and the Batu Pahat district headquarters conducted a raid and inspection, finding only five pairs of socks bearing the word "Allah." These socks had been returned by three KK Mart stores when the controversy first arose.
Batu Pahat district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Ismail Dollah, confirmed that nine reports have been filed in the district regarding the controversy. Investigations are ongoing, including taking statements from those involved in the factory's operations.
"We are in the process of taking statements from the owners and workers who are involved in handling the supply of these socks. This morning we made three recordings of conversations to complete the investigation into the controversy," said Ismail Dollah.
