PUTRAJAYA, March 3 ― The Cabinet today decided to hold a Unity Week in Sarawak, in May, to highlight the importance of unity within the community, said Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil.

Fahmi, who is also the unity government spokesperson, said that the details of the celebration will be announced by National Unity Minister, Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang.

Speaking to reporters after the Cabinet meeting today, Fahmi said the celebration was part of the unity government's efforts to prioritise elements of unity within the community, which is important in creating a stable environment and attracting foreign investors.

“Insya-Allah, once the minister announces the details, we will see comprehensively what efforts the unity government is making to ensure that the people continue to stand united, in the effort to restore confidence and rebuild the country’s economy,” he said.

Fahmi also touched on the new RM25.5 billion investment by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which is a sign that the current government is very stable.

Yesterday, AWS, one of the top global cloud service providers, announced a 15-year investment for its new infrastructure region in Malaysia, reaffirming the country's growing importance as a digital hub of choice in Asean. ― Bernama
