Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil is on a two-day working visit to Penang to engage with local communities through various programmes

GEORGE TOWN: Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil is on a two-day working visit to Penang starting today to engage with local communities through various programmes.

He is scheduled to begin his visit at 4.30 pm with a site inspection of the Fibre-to-the-Home project at the Armed Forces Family Housing at Butterworth Air Base.

In the evening, he will attend the Wayang Pacak programme at the MPKK Permatang Pasir cabin in Permatang Pauh.

Tomorrow, Fahmi will present contributions from the Tabung Kasih@HAWANA fund to RTM Penang assistant engineer Razif Saidin at Jalan Bagan Belat, Pekan Baru, Penaga. Razif suffered a C4 nerve injury after being involved in a road accident in April 2025.

The Unity Government spokesman is also scheduled to attend the Jiwa MADANI programme at Dewan Tok Mat Yahoo in Kepala Batas for a briefing session and the presentation of appointment letters to the Penang MADANI Community Leaders.

He will wind up his visit by attending the opening ceremony of the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) in Kubang Semang together with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The event will also witness the recognition of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission NADI as an International Telecommunication Union Digital Transformation Centre.
