KENINGAU: Star Bingkor Division Secretary, Junior Fred, said all members of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) including Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) have been given political appointments.
He said the party division did not fill all available positions, and PBS Bingkor was not left out in the distribution of appointees.
“PBS Bingkor was given positions in the Native Court, which are Native Chief (KAN), Native Chief Representative (WKAN), Village Head (KK) including Head of Chinese Community (Kapitan), Keningau District Councillor, Community Development Leaders Unit, Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) and also GLC.
“The Star Division also has no problem with the GRS component parties,” he said in response to a media statement by PBS Bingkor Head of Information, James Kini.

He said if PBS Bingkor’s recommendation is like the statement of its Chief Information Officer who said positions should be divided 50-50 between Star and PBS in Bingkor, this means that the other parties in Bingkor will not get any distribution of positions.
“The current GRS government practices power sharing.
“All the parties in the coalition have sacrificed in ensuring the victory of the candidate from Star, Robert Tawik, in the last State general election.
“We greatly appreciate the commitment shown by the leaders of the GRS component parties,” he said.
