
Kota Kinabalu: A company owner in his 40s was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly making a false claim to a state agency.
Sources said he was arrested at the Sabah MACC head office about 11pm on Friday (Oct 20) for the purported supply of diving equipment valued at RM18,000.
The suspect was believed to have made the false claim in 2019 when no supply was made to Sabah Parks, a state agency.
When contacted, Sabah MACC Director Datuk S. Karunanithy confirmed the arrest and the case was being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.
