Imagine someone claiming to be married to you and calling out the entire TikTok community to help ‘find’ you when you have never been in a relationship with them. That is delulu on another level. But for one teacher, this isn’t fiction. It’s real life.

A teacher from Ahlan Academy recently became the target of a disturbing cyberstalking incident that went viral online. Using a fake social media account, an individual falsely claimed to be married to the teacher and posted a dramatic video appealing to the public for help in locating her so-called “husband.” That single video quickly gained over one million views on TikTok (which has been reportedly deleted), sparking widespread sympathy and support… until the truth came to light.

In an official statement dated 28 April 2025, Ahlan Academy responded firmly on their TikTok account,

“The teacher is not married, nor has he ever been married to the individual making these claims. There has never been any personal relationship beyond attending a few of the same university classes many years ago.”

According to the Academy, this behaviour has persisted for five years. During this time, the individual repeatedly attempted to make contact by posting content online to attract public attention, spamming comments and messages to the teacher and the academy as well as reaching out via calls and emails to both personal and official lines.

Despite efforts to block her and manage the issue privately, the viral video left the Academy with no choice but to make a public statement. Police reports have also been filed.

Following the academy’s official clarification, the individual responded by posting again on her TikTok account. The TikTok video, which has now garnered over 2 million views, featured a caption in which she continued to insist on contacting the teacher and claimed that she is still waiting for his response. Despite the academy’s statement and police involvement, she showed no signs of backing down from her belief or behaviour.

The teacher, who has remained respectful and composed throughout, addressed the issue in his own TikTok statement. He clarified that he was never in a relationship with the individual and noted that she may have a history of similar behaviour with others as he claims that he is not her first victim.

The academy also urged the public not to involve unrelated third parties or spread unverified information:

“To the victim of this recent cyberstalking case, we stand by you. We urge everyone to be respectful, mindful, and responsible in what they share online.”

Cases like this show how easily misinformation can spread and how deeply damaging obsessive online behaviour can become not just to the victims, but also to public trust and safety in digital spaces.
