KOTA MARUDU: Firefighters rescued a woman and her two children trapped by floods in Kampung Langkon on Thursday morning.
The victims—a mother, her 20-year-old son, and her six-year-old daughter—were found clinging to banana trees at around 6am.
A four-member fire team was alerted by another victim's child while en route to Kampung Tigaman for monitoring.
Rescuers used a rope to bring them to safety before relocating them to a relative’s home.
Continuous monitoring is underway in flood-affected areas as heavy rain has persisted since yesterday.
