TAMBUNAN: A terrifying incident experienced by a road user along the Tambunan–Penampang route has sparked outrage among netizens after going viral on social media on Sunday (16 March).
A Facebook user Fahadi Adi shared a dashboard camera video clearly capturing the moment when three vehicles—a commercial bus, a Proton, and a Fortuner—overtook other vehicles on a double-lined road.
The Facebook user claimed that he was travelling with his family at the time and had a near head-on collision. He expressed relief that no fast-moving vehicles were trailing closely behind him.
Due to the temporary closure of the Keningau–Kimanis road for maintenance following a recent landslide, road users from Tenom have been using the Tambunan–Penampang route as an alternative.
Many netizens have called for the incident to be reported to the authorities immediately.
