The remains of a family murdered in Cerating Damai were buried in Kampung Budaya Cerating cemetery after funeral prayers
KUANTAN: The remains of a family of five, victims of a murder at a house in Cerating Damai, were laid to rest in two graves at the Kampung Budaya Cerating Muslim cemetery.
Tuan Kamaria Tuan Puteh, 56, was buried in the same grave as her daughter-in-law, Nurul Asshiykin Kamarulzaman, 33, and her two grandchildren, Nur Sumayyah Humairah, two, and Nur Saffiyah Humairah, five.
Her 32-year-old son was also laid to rest at the same cemetery.
The remains arrived at the cemetery accompanied by family members, friends and villagers.
Earlier, the remains were bathed and shrouded at Masjid Cerating and Masjid Sungai Ular.
Funeral prayers for all five were performed at Masjid Cerating.
