A FAMILY of four has been living within the grounds of the Amru Al-As Mosque in Bandar Baru Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, for the past two years after moving from Temerloh, Pahang.
Their plight only came to light after someone alerted Federal Territory Umno Information Chief, Datuk Gulam Muzaffar Gulam Mustakim.
"I have been informed that there is a family with two children who are also students of SK Sri Perak in the compound of the mosque, living in their car.
"It has been two years since they moved from Temerloh Pahang," he said.

He said Umno Batu has since contacted the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) and will try to help get assistance from Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to provide a temporary home for them.
"Umno Batu will also try to find a rental house so that they can live more comfortably," he said.
Netizens have wished the family well and prayed they will have a better life ahead. - October 1, 2025
