Fan Bingbing, the internationally renowned actress, made her first official appearance in Melaka this morning. She visited the office of the Chief Minister of Melaka, Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Yusoh, at Seri Negeri today.
Fan, who boasts over 65 million followers on various social media platforms, primarily Weibo, has been named the Melaka Friendship Tourism Ambassador for the Visit Melaka Year 2024.

This appointment is expected to boost Melaka’s profile on the international stage and attract more foreign tourists to the state.
From Seri Negeri, Fan Bingbing was taken to the Stadthuys in Bandar Hilir for a meet-and-greet session.
Over 500 fans from both local and international regions gathered to catch a glimpse of the Shandong-born actress. The overwhelming turnout exceeded expectations, with security struggling to manage the enthusiastic crowd.
Fan Bingbing took the time to sign posters for her fans and pose for photos with a few lucky admirers.
The Melaka State Government said that it is confident that Fan Bingbing’s new role will significantly enhance Melaka’s appeal as a top tourist destination.
