Farage accused of ‘deepening divisions’ over response to Henry Nowak’s murder

  • Henry Nowak was fatally stabbed on 3 December 2025 and subsequently handcuffed by police while dying, with body-worn camera footage showing officers initially disbelieving his pleas of being stabbed.
  • Vickrum Digwa, 23, was sentenced to a minimum of 21 years in prison for Nowak's murder, which involved a 21cm ceremonial knife.
  • Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, condemned the police's treatment of Nowak as indicative of a 'two-tier culture', urging a response of 'pure cold rage' and an end to 'anti-white prejudice'.
  • Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch criticised Farage for deepening divisions, asserting that police should treat everyone equally regardless of race and opposing 'reverse racism' training.
  • The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is currently investigating the actions of the attending officers, who are being treated as witnesses, and plans to meet with Mr Nowak's family.
