KUALA LUMPUR – The founders of FashionValet Sdn Bhd (FashionValet), Datin Vivy Yusof and her husband, Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar, have attended the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya to give a statement.
A source said that the couple arrived around 2pm, accompanied by their lawyers.
Earlier, MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed the matter, saying that the couple’s attendance was to assist in investigations concerning substantial losses faced by Khazanah Nasional Berhad and Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) in their investments in FashionValet.
According to Azam, they are among six individuals whose statements have been recorded.
Yesterday, the MACC collected several documents related to investments in FashionValet Sdn Bhd from various locations.
The seizures were conducted simultaneously at the Finance Ministry, Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah), Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), and FashionValet’s headquarters in Bangsar.
Azam confirmed this, stating that the commission seized several financial documents following raids at the four premises.
In a recent written response in Parliament, the Finance Ministry disclosed that Khazanah and PNB sold their RM47 million stake for only RM3.1 million, sparking public outrage due to the involvement of public funds.
The ministry explained that the sale was a “responsible exit” for Khazanah and PNB, transferring FashionValet’s shares to strategic investors.
The ministry said The losses from the sale of FashionValet shares are "negligible" compared to the total income generated by Khazanah and PNB in the relevant year,” the ministry stated. – November 5, 2024
