TUARAN: Two men on a motorcycle were killed while two occupants of a four-wheel drive were injured in a collision along Jalan Tamparuli–Ranau near Kampung Minangkob on Friday afternoon.

Tuaran Fire Station chief Mohamad Nor Amit said the crash occurred at about 4pm and a distress call was received via the NG999 line at 4.24pm.

He said a team of 10 personnel led by operations commander Azran Jull was dispatched to the scene, about 25 kilometres from the station.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a Ford Ranger Raptor and a Yamaha LC motorcycle had collided, with two occupants of the four-wheel drive already assisted by the public and sent to Tuaran Hospital by a Health Ministry ambulance.

Mohamad Nor said the motorcyclist and his pillion rider were confirmed dead at the scene by a medical officer, the bodies handed over to police, and the operation concluded at 6.30pm.
