
Kota Kinabalu: Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) President Tan Sri T.C. Goh is glad that the Chief Minister and the State Government have endorsed its plan to acquire its own building, as it marks Central Committee to commemorate its 30th anniversary.
Goh, who is also President of the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) said when paying a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor at Menara Kinabalu.
Goh and the organising committee briefed Hajiji on the latest developments and plans, including the building project, which received the Chief Minister’s personal support.
Among those present were Sabah Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, FCAS Vice President cum Chairman of organising committee, Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen, its other two Vice Presidents namely Kapitan Fung Chun Fatt and Ng Young Wah, Secretary-general Datuk Yong Soo Pin, and Treasurer-general Chen Ee Sheng.

Hajiji and the FCAS leadership exchanged views on various issues, describing the current political situation in the state as stable.
Meanwhile, Susan announced FCAS’s “triple joy” celebrations in conjunction with its 30th anniversary celebration, to be held on Friday, Aug 23, at 6:30pm at the Hakka Hall, in Tanjung Lipat.
She urged leaders of the Chinese community, associations, and businesses to support this grand event enthusiastically.
