Kota Kinabalu: The Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI) is strengthening bilateral relations between Malaysia, Sabah, and Zambia with the potential to serve as a platform for fostering international business partnerships.

FSI President Richard Lim said this following his visit to the office of Zambia’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, H.E. Morecome Mumbain Kuala Lumpur. The meeting focused on discussing upcoming events hosted by FSI.

During the courtesy visit, President Lim introduced several key initiatives organized by FSI, including the FSI Trade Expo 2025, the 8th Sabah International Coffee Festival, and the 42nd FSI Anniversary Nite.

He said these events aim to strengthen international business connections, promote cultural exchange, and create opportunities for collaboration between Sabah and countries worldwide.

“FSI remains committed to advancing trade, innovation, and cultural dialogue. We are excited to present these landmark events as platforms to enhance collaboration on multiple fronts,” Lim said.

In response, H.E. Morecome Mumba expressed his appreciation for FSI’s efforts in fostering stronger ties between nations and reaffirmed Zambia’s commitment to international partnerships.

As part of the discussions, H.E. Mumba invited FSI to organize a trade delegation to Zambia, highlighting the potential for expanding trade and collaboration between the two nations. In return, President Lim extended an invitation for H.E. Mumba to visit Sabah, emphasizing the region’s growing potential as a hub for business and diplomacy.

H.E. Mumba said that he had never visited Sabah and expressed keen interest in networking with local authorities and business leaders to explore further opportunities for collaboration.
