Sir Alex Ferguson and Jorge Mendes were both at Carrington today as Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo returned to training.
Ronaldo's appearance today was his first for preseason, having missed the squad's overseas tour due to 'personal reasons'. It was also the first time he had spoken face-to-face with new manager Erik ten Hag since his appointment.
The forward's agent Mendes arrived with him on Tuesday morning at around 10am, an hour before United's players were due to arrive for training. His old manager Ferguson was also seen at the training ground.
The Daily Mail says Ferguson was there for an already scheduled football board meeting, with the likes of David Gill and Richard Arnold.
Ronaldo's return is being seen as a positive sign, although it's still unclear whether he is ready to commit to United for another season or re-iterate his desire to be sold.
